Ivory homes
After mentioning this to the Superintendent we were told that this is normal for all wood floors in homes.
IVORY HOMES CRACK
In every crack and knot there was a white, hard, glue like substance. It looks nothing like the one we wanted and like.īefore moving in our home in July, we noticed that the walnut floors were totally covered with wood finish. They said it could be put in, but it wont look right at all. Towards the completion of the home we were informed that the shower we loved wouldn’t fit because they accidentally built the home wrong for it. The shower in the Master bathroom is not the same shower we fell in love with in the model home. Many of our friends and neighbors will attest to this.) (This is not the case in every instace, but we’ve found it to be true more often than not. Ivory is constantly trying to convince you that you are just being picky and that your complaints are not valid, no matter how bad the problem. It’s normal in all new homes.” (This was said about the glue all over the wood floors, the crooked walls, and the spalding cement in the basement.)Ĥ. None of the other home buyers are complaining about this.”ģ. “Your home is the only home with this problem. “This is a normal problem in the home building process, this happens all the time.”Ģ. (It’s funny because all of our friends and neighbors that we’ve spoken with have had the exact sayings used on them.)ġ. No matter what the problem is, whether big or small, Ivory has a staple comment for it. (The problems are not listed in chronological order, as there are far to many to keep any type of timeline for.Īlso, I feel it necessary to list our BIGGEST COMPLAINTS about working with Ivory homes. I will list the PROBLEMS and then the SOLUTIONS (or attempts), so you can understand exactly what was done.
IVORY HOMES PLUS
****Without any exceptions, we had someone from Ivory’s team fixing, painting, finishing, correcting, or just replacing something that was left out EVERY SINGLE WEEK FOR THE FIRST FOUR PLUS MONTHS!!!! Many of the items were verbally brought to the attention of the superintendent and our sales agent long before the home was completed, but most of them were not fixed before moving in. Many of our neighbors have major frustrations with Ivory as well. Ivory Homes has managed to take every ounce of joy that we once held for our first custom home building experience and turned it into one of the most stressful and trying ordeals of our lives. We just trusted in their name and reputation, which for us, has been one of the biggest dissapointments of our lives to date. Unfortunately, we didn’t have the forsight to bring the concern to Ivory’s attention. On more than one occasion we saw beer cans sitting in and around the garage. When the home was undergoing construction we would drive by the home about 3-4 times per week, every week. I know enough about the way a home should look to know what I am talking about, but I do not, by any means, claim to be an expert on the subject. I’ve owned numerous homes and helped build a few. "We are optimistic about our harvest until the end of the year," said Henri Kouadio, who farms near Daloa, where 11.8 mm of rain fell last week, 5.3 mm below the average. We have always read and heard great things about building with Ivory homes, BUT we have had one of the worst experiences of our lives in dealing with them.Ībout me: I’m just an every day ordinary guy who has become sick and tired of large companies taking advantage of people because they have the power, money, time, and resources to do so. In the centre-western region of Daloa and in the central regions of Bongouanou and Yamoussoukro, where rainfall was also below average, farmers said they were happy with the soil moisture content. "Rains are still good for the growth of beans but drying is taking too long," said Anatole Bekoin, who farms near Soubre, where 35.2 millimetres (mm) of rain fell last week, 14.8 mm above the five-year average.įarmers reported similar difficulties drying beans in the southern region of Divo and the western region of Man, where rainfall was below average last week. Some buyers have been complaining about the high moisture content of the beans, farmers said.
Farmers said the weather was good for the crop but that they needed more sun to dry their beans properly. Rainfall was above average last week in the western region of Soubre, in the southern region of Agboville and in the eastern region of Abengourou.
